Château Jander
Listrac-Médoc
One of the “lesser known” of the Big Six Communes of the Médoc (Pauillac, Margaux, St. Estephe, Moulis, Listrac & St. Julien), Listrac offers wines of distinction, richness and body with the character of Cabernet Sauvignon dominating the wines. Located fairly close to Margaux, Listrac wines can offer many of the pleasing qualities of wines from Margaux at a much more affordable price. Such is the case of this Cru Bourgeois Listrac-Médoc wine from Semeillan-Mazeau.

Château Jander is the premium blend of the best wines of the property, named after the owner of the property, Monsieur Hans Peter Jander. The wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot and is aged in oak barriques for one year.

With the benefit of the time spent in the bottle, the wine from this vintage is drinking very well now with lots of time to mature. Classic Cabernet flavors of black fruits and nuances of chocolate harmonize well with the oak to add a light toast aroma that is pleasingly spicy and rich.
