The Champagnes of Michel Arnould & Fils are all 100% Grand Cru with the Pinot Noir coming from their vineyards in Verzenay on the famed “Montagne de Reims” and the Chardonnay from their vineyards in Cramant on the Grand Cru “Côte de Blanc”. The vineyards in Verzenay are considered among the best vineyards in the Champagne region as the northerly orientation of the vineyards benefits from the action of the cold on the yeast, which produces more and better-formed bubbles. This family owned business produces Champagnes that consistently win awards and earn high ratings in the French wine press.
The Brut is made from 100% Pinot Noir, and all the Pinot Noir is produced in Verzenay. This is the entry level wine for this property and shows the power of the Pinot Noir Fruit. The wine rests for 2 years on the lees before it is released for sale, which preserves the freshness of the fruit flavors while maintaining the crisp acidity that is so refreshing..
This is excellent Champagne for an aperitif or with appetizers or hors d’oeuvres.
