This crisp, dry and fruity white wine comes from one of the
most renowned producers of red wine in the Pécharmant
appellation of the Bergerac vineyards. Made from Sauvignon Blanc
(80%), which brings the classic aromas of straw, fresh fruit
and mineral notes and expresses the terroir, and Semillon (20%)
which adds finesse, body and length to the wine, this classic
product embodies the freshness and engaging flavors one expects
from these grapes and usually only found in other more pricey
appellations.
Made by the family Saint-Exupéry, this wine was offered
almost as an after-thought since I have imported their red
Pécharmant wine for some time. They asked me if I had
ever tried their white and a glassful quickly followed my
negative response. A few tastes and a few words later, an
order was on the table.
I am sure you will like this white wine as much as I do and
will be as equally impressed with the price. An excellent
value which well represents the appellation in character and
quality.
Serve chilled as an aperitif, among friends, and also with
fish and light hors d'oeuvres.
